A Little Inspiration

I stole this idea from the lovely and talented JunoJen. She mentioned the blog of someone who inspires her with her fitness tenacity and dedication (Stacey). Stacey is amazing and inspires me, too. In fact, because of Jen’s post, I added her link to my blog list so I would remember to read her blog more often.

Someone’s blog that I read on a regular basis is Evie (Evielee at tracker). This girl is so physically beautiful it makes me want to puke. I’d die for her face. But what knocks your socks off just as much as her drop-dead gorgeousness is her transformation. It’s one of the most stunning I’ve ever seen. If you’ve never seen her profile on tracker, you must STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING NOW and go check her out: Evielee. Simply breathtaking. Phenomenal. Her drive is unbelievable and she’s on a quest to be the very best she can possibly be – isn’t that what it’s all about? Being our very best self? She’s a true inspiration. My only complaint: she doesn’t update her blog nearly as often as she should… =)

Being our best self and being supported by those around us, that's what it's all about.

Evie is inspiring. I remember stumbling across her blog months ago, but never found my way back. So thanks for highlighting her! She's now on my "open in tabs" daily list to read.

Speaking of not updating enough [pointing finger right at Rachel]...
The good, the bad, I want to hear it all.

Hay Rachel.

I wanted to say thanks again for posting on my blog.

Sorry I haven't had much time to read your blog, there's about 8 months worth of stuff.

I did want to say a few things though.

1. I hope you continue to keep the happiness you have with your husband. Mixed marriages are still not that common these days, and racism is still a problem to some extent, but well done, for not letting anything come between you and he.

2. I'm sorry you have slight issues with your Mother, but well doen for not letting it affect you, you seem really wonderful despite the times you said you contemplated the "end", again congrats on not going there.

I appreciate the courage it must have taken to face yourself and your problems like that, and find a strength, you may not have previously realised existed.

Especially with the thyroid issues, (which I won't dwell on), but I see someone who clearly has a good heart, and has found out how to make it work for her, and you obviously loved yourself enough to be strong, and keep going through a few tough moments.

It's that love of yourself, which seems to be a major reason why you are where you are today.

3. I want to say congrats again, for finishing a marathon, with a sprained ankle. It's that kind of heart and resolve, that's clearly kept you going for a long time.

You certainly shouldn't be too concerned about how you look either, The pictures show a woman, who in two years has really changed her physical appearance.

You have achieved so much, you should be so proud, and you look absolutely lovely. The difference between the picture of you in 04, and the one of you snorkelling are very telling.

There is definitely something of a beautiful transformation about your results.

I don't think you need to feel freakish, I think you have a right to see yourself, as a beautiful, feminine figure, which I imagine is how your husband sees you too.

Whatever you do, keep smiling, keep your chin up, be strong, and keep appreciating yourself. I didn't know anything about you until about 10 minutes before I started writing this, but I do feel you are a warm, "human" person. You have a wonderful marriage, an with your human skills, you could be a really good Mother, if you ever wanted to be.

You've certainly come a long way in a few years, and I know it's not been easy, but well done, keep fighting for every little bit of happiness you deserve, whether it's physical, mental or emotional, and don't ever give up on what you want.

You're still young, you have so much going for you, and almost nobody and nothing can take away from you, what you feel and what you want.

GOOD LUCK, and keep up the hard work, because in my sincere opinion, you've changed things around for yourself in the last 2 years, and you look very healthy, radient and feminine.

You have a right to be proud of that, and proud of yourself as a person, for being who you are, and having come through your emotional experiences, and I hope you'll be happy for many years to come.

I think at this moment in time, you've more than earned it, and deserve to be happy.

GOOD LUCK, and best wishes for the future. I hope you and hubby stay strong, and that you find your true comfort zone.

Take care Rachel :-).

Matt

P.S. forget surgery. You honestly don't need it. The changes you've made in the last two years, I can only imagine who you'll look in another two years time.

I think you could be someone whos beauty matures with age.

You could even compete if you wanted to. You've got age, and time on your side. You're clearly capable of so much.

Don't ever underestimate your true human worth.

:-).
